To be able to witness this year’s Savage X Fenty Show was nothing less than an honor. The show took place at the Barclay’s Center in Brooklyn, NY. The event was surrounded by lots of buzz yet extremely secretive. Cell phones and recording devices were taken from guests upon check-in and only a small portion of the Barclay’s Center was used.

The show was phenomenal from beginning to end. The set looked like it could have cost minimally $1 million. Lavergne Cox, Fat Joe, DJ Khaled, 21 Savage, Normani, and other noteworthy artists performed some of their smash hits. The models who walked in the show were a medley of big names like Gigi and Bella Hadid. There were also less known, body positive models which shook industry norms.

I was able to meet and talk with Rihanna backstage following her show. The rumors of her undeniably ethereal scent are totally valid. Rihanna was beaming with joy and incredible love following such a dynamic show for her global brand Savage X Fenty, which has found much success among the newer generations. Cara DeLevingne was such a light and to witness their camaraderie was something other worldly. Overall, the show was incredible and Amazon Prime did well to collaborate and gain the exclusive right to stream the show’s content via their platform on September 20th.
